The annual Conference held at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort in
June was an outstanding success from many perspectives.

Over the weekend, over 230 adults and a large number of children
enjoyed a positive time together.

It was significant that Conference attendees came from all over
Australia for this inaugural National Conference making this a truly
national event. The staff at CYC once again provided the conference
with an outstanding venue and matched this with excellence in every area.

Dr Rod Wilson, President from Regent College in Vancouver,
Canada was the keynote speaker and he was very well supported
by our supplementary speakers, Vicki Mustafa, the Pastor from
Glen Community Church and Mark McCrindle, psychologist and social
researcher from Sydney.

The theme of the Conference was “Identity, 2008” and Rod took
us through three challenging messages. The first was entitled,
‘Who are you when nobody is looking?’ and this took us on a journey in
Paul’s letter to the Colossians and making sense of the chronology
of grace where identity should always precede performance. Rod’s
second message ‘Who are you when you are not working?’ considered
