&lt;p&gt;What are the CCCA (Vic) CGD Existing &amp;amp; Ongoing Small Outreach Grants?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;CCCA (Vic) Small Grants of up to $1000 are available for Victorian churches to:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; help Churches meet licence fees of programs such as Kids Hope&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; increase the effectiveness of an existing outreach by providing funding for required training for program such as CRE.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Why is the CCCA (Vic) CGD funding these grants?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Supporting our Victorian church&amp;rsquo;s efforts to outreach into communities is a key initiative of the Church Growth Department designed to stimulate, support and strengthen the capability and effectiveness of our collective witness.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;By allocating small grants the CGD hopes to resource churches to do more.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In supporting the local church the CGD hopes to underpin the outreach capacity of the local Church.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What type of projects might be funded?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some examples of the activities or projects which could be funded include:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; licence fees for Kids Hope&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; costs of accrediting and training CRE teachers&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What will not be funded?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;CCCA (Vic) Exisiting and Ongoing Outreach Small Grants will not fund:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; existing debts or budget deficits;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; purchases of prizes for programs&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; staff salaries or general operating costs not associated with this project;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; equipment purchases not linked directly with the project&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; travel costs&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What are the selection criteria?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Applicants must describe how their project will:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; increase the outreach capacity of their church; and/or&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; involve and encourage more people to become involved in outreach to&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; benefit their church&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How will applications be assessed?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Applications will be assessed using answers to the questions Why?, How?, Who?, and What will the project achieve? (see attached form).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What are the funding conditions?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The following conditions will apply to projects that receive a grant:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The grant recipient must enter into a funding agreement with the CGD that sets out the conditions and reporting requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The grant recipient must spend the grant funds as described in the application.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The activity must start and finish within the time frame agreed to with and by the CGD.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The organisation must provide a simple one page summary of the project outcomes, a photograph of an activity or event and a statement about how the funds were used.&lt;/p&gt;

What are the CCCA (Vic) CGD Ministry Internship Grants?&lt;br /&gt;
The Church Growth Department supports churches seeking to grow and develop their people and ministries through internship type programs. Such programs usually are characterised by:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The church and the intern make a commitment to each other for mutual benefit&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; Practical ministry involvement is offered under the supervision of a pastor or other suitably qualified person&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The practical experience is supplemented by some form of formal study (eg Bible College subject(s), distance education, Youth Dimension internship etc)&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The intern will be meeting their own education costs but in order to make ends meet will usually need some form of paid employment&lt;br /&gt;
An Internship Grant gives a church the opportunity to pay the intern so that instead of working a casual job, the church can benefit from the intern&amp;rsquo;s paid employment and gain greater benefit from this process.&lt;br /&gt;
Who qualifies for CCCA (Vic) CGD Ministry Internship Grants?&lt;br /&gt;
Any of our Victorian churches may qualify for a Ministry Internship Grant, assuming that:&lt;br /&gt;
a suitable person is identified by the church leadership&lt;br /&gt;
there is a genuine fit between the intern and the ministry needs of the church&lt;br /&gt;
the church develops a documented strategy for the internship program that includes:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; A formal description of roles&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; A mechanism for regular review by the Church (including a review at least twice yearly with the eldership or leadership) and feedback&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; A commitment to develop and sustain prayer support for the intern&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; Measurable outcomes&lt;br /&gt;
the intern commits to funding the cost of external study&lt;br /&gt;
the church matches the Church Growth Departments funding&lt;br /&gt;
the church handles the employment responsibilities including PAYG tax, Workcover and superannuation&lt;br /&gt;
How much is a CCCA (Vic) CGD Ministry Internship Grant?&lt;br /&gt;
The maximum grant will be $8,000 per annum which equates to approximately one day per week at the rates below&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The hourly rate of pay should be in the range of $16-$20 per hour (as of October 2009 &amp;ndash; this shall be indexed in line with CPI) and in setting the rate due consideration should be given to the financial position of the intern (eg dependants to support), age and skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What are the selection criteria?&lt;br /&gt;
Applicants must describe how their project will:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; increase the ministry capacity of their church; and/or&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; benefit the intern in the medium and long term&lt;br /&gt;
How will applications be assessed?&lt;br /&gt;
Applications will be assessed using answers to the questions on the Application (Attached)&lt;br /&gt;
What are the funding conditions?&lt;br /&gt;
The following conditions will apply to projects that receive a grant:&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The grant recipient must enter into a funding agreement with CGD that sets out the conditions and reporting requirements.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The grant recipient must spend the grant funds as described in the application.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The Internship must start and finish in the agreed time, unless a different timeframe is agreed with the CGD.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull; The organisation must provide a simple one page summary of the outcomes, and a statement about how the funds were used.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What is the application process?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
